Water damage is not only a completely unnecessary waste of water, but it also costs society huge sums to repair. It did so in 1986, when the first installation, which was to safeguard against leaks and pipe bursts in the water and heating system of H.C. Andersens Hus in Odense, saw the light of day at the electronics company DanTaet. At the time, the annual cost to society of repairing water damage in both public and private buildings was in the millions. Today we are talking billions as a result of the over 100,000 cases of water damage or water wastage that both older and new buildings and properties suffer each year.<\/p>\n

DanTaet therefore has a desire and a goal to reduce the number of water damages. This will be a huge win for both the environment and the economy.<\/p>\n

In 1985, two elephants died at Odense Zoo when the district heating pipes in the elephant house burst. Following the tragedy, DanTaet was born from an idea by Erik Nielsen. Today, Odense Zoo has DanTaet leak protection devices built into its heating supply to avoid similar accidents.<\/span><\/p>\n

DanTaet A\/S has been awarded as a Gazelle Entreprise three times (1999, 2013 and 2022). Since 1987, DanTaet has supplied over 20,000 leak protection systems to both commercial and residential customers.<\/p>\n

It did so in 1986, when the first installation, which was to safeguard against leaks and pipe bursts in the water and heating system of H.C. Andersens Hus in Odense, saw the light of day at the electronics company DanTaet. At the time, the annual cost to society of repairing water damage in both public and private buildings was in the millions. Today we are talking billions as a result of the over 100,000 cases of water damage or water wastage that both older and new buildings and properties suffer each year. DanTaet therefore has a desire and a goal to reduce the number of water damages.
